The "CRUISE-A-HOME 40' hull design is the result of research and long practical experience. It was developed from a hull successfully used by a fleet of boats chartered for ocean fishing at Westport on the Washington Coast. The seaworthiness of the "CRUISE-A-HOME 40' hull has been proven for over eight years under the toughest off-shore ocean conditions. The hull has a deep-V entry with full length longitudinal strakes and reverse chines plus deep-V keel. These features provide easy entry and riding characteristics with safer, more comfortable operation. All exposed surfaces of the "CRUISE-A-HOME 40" are extra- heavy molded fiberglass to weather open moorage and provide longer, carefree upkeep. Cabin is convenient one level, low profile for minimal windage and easier, safer handling.
A fiberglass tub with shower is supplied by 105 gallons of fresh water, both hot and cold by means of an automatic water pressure system and a hot water tank heated by engine heat when underway or by dockside power. Convenient and efficient refrigeration when cruising is provided by propane and by 110 V electrical plug-in at dockside. The 4-burner propane stove with eye level oven makes cooking a pleasure. Full nylon carpeting adds warmth.
CRUISE-A-HOME 40's twenty-eight foot long cabin top provides a large sun deck "patio" for relaxation, sun bathing or underway observation. The fly bridge with dual controls is placed forward to provide excellent visibility when cruising or maneuvering in close quarters. A custom lounge seat for six opens to a double sun or sleep lounge. Sturdy safety rails around the sun deck match the full wrap-around main deck railings. All rails are heavy duty thick wall, anodized against corrosion. Upright stanchions are counter sunk over 2" into deck for extra safety and strength.
For your family's protection, CRUISE-A-HOME 40' is built with six full width bulkheads, resulting in seven water- tight compartments, with two bilge pumps to provide the safest cruising afloat.
All bulkheads, stringers and reinforcing members are secured to the hull and deck by hand lay-up fiberglass bonding, resulting in an extremely strong, durable cruising home. CRUISE-A-HOME 40' is the FIRST cruiser hull "houseboat" to be designed and manufactured in the Northwest, noted for it's shipbuilding industry.
